The Performer
Ruby D’ Woo (she/her) is Nottingham’s Unapologetic Dynamic Vixen, a captivating showgirl whose performances mix sass, storytelling, and show-stopping glamour. With over twelve years in burlesque and a foundation in performing arts, Ruby has carved a name for herself across the UK and Europe as both a magnetic performer and a creative powerhouse.
Her stage persona is unapologetic and dynamic: sometimes glittering and graceful, sometimes comedic and character-driven, always authentic and unforgettable. From a rhinestoned cowgirl to a pin-up Fred Flintstone, Ruby embodies the freedom and joy that lies at the heart of burlesque.

The Producer
Ruby is not only a performer but a seasoned producer and creative director. Her eye for detail and professionalism has seen her collaborate with major venues and brands across the UK.
She has produced and managed bespoke burlesque entertainment for Metropolitan Casinos (Alea Nottingham, Manchester235), Cosy Club, Canalhouse, and Bierkeller, as well as private events for Oxford University and celebrity clients.
Her own production the Cosy Cabaret, have become beloved fixtures in Nottingham’s nightlife, known for their warmth, artistry, and inclusive atmosphere.
Ruby loves to create space and opportunities for the burlesque community. She also produces a student showcase called the Big Bang Cabaret and another show called the Vau-DeLuxe-Ville which helps support upcoming and local talent.
The Educator
As the principal of her own School of Burlesque, Ruby has spent the past nine years empowering hundreds of students to find their confidence, creativity, and individuality through the art of tease.
Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that burlesque has no levels, only passion, play, and progress.
Ruby is also the leader of Ruby’s De Luxe, a award-winning troupe that proudly took home the title of Highway to Hull Troupe Champions. She has also had the pleasure of mentoring several soloists who have also become award winners!
Weekly schedule:
Monday: Group class exploring a new style, theme, or persona each month.
Tuesday: Technique & detail session — smaller, focused class ideal for beginners or advanced students wanting to refine movement.
Solo Courses: Create your own unique act with Ruby’s expert guidance and perform it at a live show.
Mentoring: 1:1 support for students ready to step into the spotlight or develop their professional path.
Ruby’s teaching style nurtures individuality and stage presence, with a proven record of success, several of her solo students have gone on to win national awards and recognition across the UK burlesque scene. Her classes are known for their supportive, uplifting environment and her ability to bring out the best in every performer, whether it’s their first class or their next headline act.
