Our private sessions, whether online or in the studio, are here to guide you on your burlesque journey, no matter if you're new to the art or a professional looking to take your acts to the next level. And it's not just instruction on dance moves; we're here to assist you on the business side of burlesque, including administration help, productions and even setting up your own burlesque business. We understand that every performer has unique goals and aspirations. That's why we offer personalized, one-on-one private sessions tailored to your needs. Ruby has helped dancers create their first production, increase ticket sales, and establish workshops and businesses within the industry. In addition, we can also provide guidance on the legal aspects of dance, offer feedback on your act, and provide assistance with class plans and costumes. Let us help you take you to the next level.

Online sessions are great for:
Act Discussions - If you are looking at starting a new act and you want to make sure your act is heading in the right direction, along with discussions about costumes and concepts.
Act Feedback - Looking to enhance your act and get some advice on how to evolve your act.
Admin - Struggling on where to start with your performer bio, act bio, tech sheets, CVs then we can go throught it all.
Business - Looking for help with insurances, fees, invoices, buisness plans or business set ups.
Marketing - Are you needing help with self or show promotions then we can give you all the tools to help.
Troupe to Solo - Looking at becoming a solo performer, but only had troupe training. Then we can go through all the fundementals to help get you on the way.
Producing - Looking to produce your very own burlesque show and wanting advice on how to make it all come together.

I've been doing burlesque for nearly a year and enjoying every second of it I thought I would challenge myself at doing my 1st ever solo for the troupe showcase in December.
I've been to two of Ruby D'Woo's solo classes which have been amazingly helpful but now was the time to have my first ever private one on one with Ruby and show her what I've done on my own.
I brought to my session my costume and all my notes. Ruby, listened to my concept and ideas as to what I wanted to portray in my act and we went through every lyric and beat over and over again to ensure the atmosphere flowed through my routine. She gave me professional advice on what I came up with myself, how I should portray myself when I perform and to be the performer that I want to be. She helped me with more ideas and moves that I could choose to tweek into the routine to keep the atmosphere and suggested options I could do to fill up any gaps I had. Ruby was very patient with me and understood my weaknesses as I am very self conscious with parts of myself, she was fantastic at ensuring we kept the originality of my routine as this was my own piece I wanted to be proud of.
At the end of my session I was excited that I had all the guidance provided to me by Ruby from her experiences and knowledge as such a successful performer herself. She helped me get my routine out of my notebook into reality and I can not wait to show her and my troupe the final outcome. Thank you Ruby D'Woo for being the best!.

After almost a year of being a performer I wanted to enhance my skills and gain more knowledge of the burlesque industry as I have been having a few up and downs in my career. While I was at The Rebellion just as an audience member I saw how amazing and confident Ruby's students were and I booked a private class with her that night.
One of the best decisions I have made, she helped me improve my act by giving me so many suggestions and she was always kindly honest which I appreciated. Not only that I had so many questions which she answered in great detail and with examples. I have already booked in another session with her with my new act and I cannot wait.

If you are looking for honesty with kindness rather than positive affirmations then Ruby is the woman to go to. I have had feedback from several professionals and I always felt it never really lifted my act just my spirit, which is great but I really wanted to improve. Ruby was like a breath of fresh air, she actually gave me feedback of what worked, what needed tweaking and what I needed to add, she even followed up the session with a video of tips. Overall I finally got a booking for my act and I still go to Ruby for advice today with any new acts and I always look forward to my sessions.

I can not recommend Ruby enough to those really wanting to be a performer and if you are new to the burlesque scene.
I have been doing burlesque with another company for over a year before I booked in with Ruby and the quality and passion I recieved from Ruby was crazy. You get way more than your money worth and no matter where you are, what level you are at or if you need help in any aspect Ruby can help you!
