Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need previous experience to join class?

No previous experience is needed, all routines are broken down step by step.

How can I be a performer for Haus of Ruby's Rebels?

To be a performer who we book out, you need to be part of our MentorStrip or you need to attend regular classes.

What do you wear to a burlesque dance class?

You should wear something you are comfortable in. This could be anything from leggings and a t-shirt to lingerie. You don't have to strip if you don't want to. We love a good mime! Although we find it can be very liberating to twirl your tassels.

How old do you have to be to attend a burlesque class?

Due to the adult nature all members must be aged 18 or older

What do I need to bring to class?

Plenty of water! Ruby will have you working up a sweat as her classes are just as much about staying fit as they are about having fun and being sultry. We also recommend you to bring knee pads as some routines contain floor work.

Is there parking?

Top Valley

Yes, a part of Tesco Extra car park.

Do I have to get naked?

No, you can remain fully clothed. We never require anyone to get completely naked. You can always wear layers if you want to practice removing clothes and if you want to strip down to your pants and tassels then that's okay too.

Can I just do solo classes?

Yes, we offer private one to to one sessions and we also offer a mentorship.

How do we hire you for an event and what do you offer?

You can email us at rubysrebelsburlesque@gmail.com with the date, time and location, along with what you are wanting and we will get back to you as soon as possible with a quote.  You can see our 'Hire' page for more info.

Are cameras allowed at burlesque shows?

We do allow cameras, but we'd prefer it if our audience would sit back and enjoy the show rather than watching through their phones. We provide a photographer and videographer for our performances and we regularly upload content to our Youtube and Instagram accounts.

Is there a dress code for Ruby's Rebels shows?

There isn't a dress code but some venues would appreciate it if people dressed smart casual.

Are tickets refundable or transferable?

Unfortunately all our tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

How long are Ruby's Rebels shows?

Are Ruby's Rebels shows seated?

How can I apply to be a part of Ruby's Rebels shows?
